The attention of the General Public is hereby drawn to our earlier advertisement for Invitation to Tender for the 2016 Capital Projects which was published in Daily Trust and Punch Newspapers both of 29th June, 2016 and Federal Tenders Journal of 11th July, 2016.
In view of the above, we wish to inform the General Public that the Management of National Library of Nigeria has extended the deadline for the submission of bids for the 2016 Capital Projects to Tuesday 6th September, 2016. This is to enable the Procurement Unit to carry out modifications on the scope of work as were advertised.

(4.0) COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS
Interested Contractors are to collect tender documents from the Procurement Unit of National Library of Nigeria at Plot 274 Sanusi Dantata House, Central Business District, Abuja within the working hours of 9am – 4pm, Monday – Friday upon the presentation of evidence of payment of a non-refundable tender fee of N50,000.00 for Category A and N20,000.00 for Categories B,C&D. The payment should be made in favour of FGN- National Library of Nigeria Remitta Collection Platform.
(5.0) SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS:
(i) Interested contractors are to submit their documents (Both Technical and Financial Bids) in two separate envelopes enclosed in one big envelope clearly stating the Project Name and LOT Number at the top right hand corner of the envelope and addressed to:

(6.0) BID OPENING
Bid opening will commence immediately after the deadline for submission on Monday 15th August 2016 at the Board Room (First Floor) of National Library of Nigeria at Plot 274 Sanusi Dantata House, Central Business District, Abuja. All bidders or their representatives, relevant professional bodies, NGOs and the general public are invites to witness the public bid opening exercise.
(7.0) OTHER INFORMATION
(A) The National Library of Nigeria may refer all document attached to relevant security agencies; BPP, FIRS, PENCOM, ITF and other bodies for verification.
(B) The National Library is not bound to accept the lowest quotation that is not responsive
(C) Contractors with relevant capacity to deliver are permitted to bid for more than one lot
(D) Only successful bidders from the Technical Evaluation will be invited for financial bid opening.
(E) Deviations to the provisions of this advertisement may lead to the disqualification of the bidder.
(8.1) This announcement is published for information purposes only and does not constitute an offer by the Tenders Board to transact with any party for the projects, nor does it constitute a commitment or obligation on the part of the Tenders Board to procure concession services.

(3) SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work covers the complete electrical design, installation and commissioning, in working order, as may be presented on the single line drawings and as per specifications. The Contractor shall be responsible for the supply, installation and connection of the specified high and low-voltage equipment and cables as required to connect the factory to the external public power supply.
Interested Contractors must be licensed by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to carry out such work. Expression of Interest should include a Corporate Profile showing evidence of execution of similar projects as described above and evidence of status as an Electrical Contractor or Qualification (e.g. Federal Ministry of Power Registered Category 1/COREN).

Addendum to the Initial Invitation to Tender
(1) The attention of the General Public is hereby drawn to our initial invitation to Bid Advertisement dated 25th July, 2016 in the Daily Trust, Thisday newspapers as well as the Federal Government Tenders Journal.
(2) It has been observed that the following statements under paragraph 3.0 (General Requirements) needs to be further clarified to avoid ambiguities. Therefore the following listed requirements have been corrected to replace the advertised requirements respectively for clarity and better understanding. The respective requirement should now read as follows:-
