Invitation for Financial Bids for the Execution of 2016 Appropriation
The Federal Government of Nigeria has allocated Funds to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, in the year 2016 Appropriation. Consequently, the Hospital wishes to invite reputable contractors with relevant proven competence and experience to submit tenders for the execution.
2.0 DESCRIPTION OFTHE WORK
LOT 1: Procurement & Installation of Cardiology, ENT, Anaesthetic, O & G & Radiology Equipment etc.
LOT II: Procurement and installation of 250 kva soundproof diesel engine electricity generator set.
3.0 ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS
Prospective bidders must possess the under-listed requirements to be eligible to participate in this procurement:-
(i.) Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
(ii.) Evidence of Company’s Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2013, 2014 & 2015)
(iii.) Evidence of Current Pension Clearance Certificate in compliance with the Amended PenCom Reform Act 2014.
(iv.) Evidence of Registration on the National Database of Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by inclusion of Interim Registration Report (1RR) issued by the BPP.
(v.) Evidence of current ITF Certificate in compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Act, 2005.
4.0 COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF BID DOCUMENTS
Interested and competent bidders are requested to collect bid documents from the Procurement Unit. Federal Medical Centre, No. 1 Salihu Ibrahim Way, Lokoja, upon presentation of evidence of payment of non-refundable Tender fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000.00) only.
Prospective bidders shall enclose their Technical documents in a separate envelope (marked Technical) and the Financial Bid in another envelope (marked Financial) and the two separate envelopes shall be enclosed in one sealed outer envelope clearly marked “INVITATION TO TENDER”- Lot No (indicate the Lot the bid is for). 5.0 CLOSING DATE & OPENING
Submission of bid documents closes on Thursday 29th December 2016 at 1:00 pm. Any bid received after the stated date and time shall not be considered. The submitted bids will be opened on the same day, Thursday 29 Dec. 2016, at 1:00 pm at the Board Room FMC Lokoja. The Federal Government of Nigeria and UNICEF Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (FGN-UNICEF WASH) Programme is currently having significant operations in about 22 states and 90 LGAs in Nigeria.
Scope of Work:
This consultancy shall cover supervision, quality assurance and certification of assigned works contracts as awarded by any of the states of the Federation
(a) Drilling, completion and installation of hand pump boreholes (this covers the various design options based on pump types and finishing and as may be deployed)
(b) Drilling, completion and installation of motorized boreholes (this covers the various design options based on seizing, treatment and finishing and as may be deployed)
(c) Construction and completion of 2 blocks of lavatories (male and female) in public institutions (this covers the various design options based on number of compartments, accessories and finishing and as may be deployed)
Major Tasks to be accomplished:
The consulting firm shall closely work with the State partners and in coordination with UNICEF at the Field Offices to carry out the following tasks in line with the contract management guidelines.
Duration: an initial period of one year with possibility of renewal for another year upon satisfactory performance

Expression of Interest (EOI) for Fistula Care Plus Community Mobilization
The Fistula Care plus (FC+) Project is a five years Project funded by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and implemented by EngenderHealth. The Project is an off shoot from the former Fistula Care Project and it works to strengthen health system capacity for maternal health, fistula prevention, detection, treatment, and reintegration with an increased mandate to address pelvic organ prolapse and promote family planning. In Nigeria, the Project is Supporting Eleven (14) States of Ebonyi, Cross River, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Bauchi, Jigawa, Oyo, Kwara, Kaduna, Akwa-Ibom, and Plateau
FC+ project proposes to conduct community mobilization in selected states in order to enhance community understanding and practices to prevent fistula, Improve access to treatment, reduce stigma and support reintegration of women with fistula.
FC+ plans to implement the above work through local civil society organizations (CSOs) who will serve as coordinators for proposed project activities in their states while providing mentoring to other community structures. The organization in synergy with gatekeepers and other community structures will reach out to people in the grass roots with appropriate messages on fistula prevention, stigma reduction, child spacing, availability of fistula treatment services, identify and refer clients. CBOs will serve as linkages between the communities and fistula treatment and family planning facilities.
• FC+ hereby invites interested CSOs/CBOs to apply. To qualify, organizations must have the following skills/requirements:
• Have CAC certification and fulfil all requirements to carry out community base activities in Nigeria and selected states.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience conducting community mobilization activities in Nigeria.
• Experience working in fistula programing, rehabilitation and reintegration.
• Work, and is located, in Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Cross river state and Jigawa states.
• Provide documentation to support that organization have conducted similar activities on health promotion with donor agencies.
• Ability to deliver base on scope of work and according to specifications.
• Aware of and respect for the sensitive cultural and gender values of benefiting communities and the program.

The Northern Education Initiative Plus (The Initiative) implemented by Creative Associates International is a five-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supporting Bauchi and Sokoto state governments to provide education opportunities and improve reading skills for more than 2 million children.
The Initiative invites interested service providers or multi-media companies to submit their EOI for developing media products to motivate parents to support education for children.
The detailed portfolio will require the use of media such as radio, video and IVR based on evidence to best reach the various target audiences.
The EOI must comprise the following documents:

Procurement of a Contractor for the Construction of Remediation Works at Ikot Nkebre and Lemna/Agric Gully Erosion Site, Calabar, Cross River State

(1) The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Cross River State Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (CRS-NEWMAP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of Remediation Works at Ikot Nkebre and Lemna/Agric Gully Erosion Site, Calabar, Cross River State.
(2) The Cross River State Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (CRS-NEWMAP) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Remediation Works at Ikot Nkebre and Lemna/Agric Gully Erosion Site, Calabar, Cross River State (“the Works”).
Lot 1: Construction of Remediation Works at Ikot Nkebre Gully Erosion Site, Calabar, Cross River State (CRS/NEWMAP/WKS/NCB/16/01/Lot 1) Ikot Nkebre is located about 8km north of Calabar Airport with the center of its gully lying at coordinates 559,698 north, 429,328 east approximately. The gully consists of five (5) fingers of which two (2) are about 80m to 130m in length and the other two (2) are about half a kilometer in length. The main gully is approximately 1.2km that terminates into a stable wetland. Most of the gully heads, if not all were caused by concentrated storm runoff brought ostensibly by human development due to improper provision of drainage structures, especially at the outfall of these drains.
Lot 2: Construction of Remediation Works at Lemna/ Agric Gully Erosion Site, Calabar, Cross River State (CRS/NEWMAPAVKS/NCB/l6701/Lot 2) Lemna/Agric site is locatedabout 7km north of Calabar Airport. The gully lies at approximately coordinates 5o 02′ 15.60″ N, 8o 21′ 27.70″ E. Its length runs at about 1.3km cutting through a golf course along the way and terminating into stable wetlands. Concentrated storm runoff is the probable cause of the gully development as well as human activities by improper provision of drainage structures especially in the outfall.
(3) The construction works is for a period of Sixteen (16) calendar months and shall include but not limited to the following:
(a) Gully Head Stabilization which is to convey storm runoff safely downstream into the gully bed without causing excessive erosion.
(b) Gully Bed Stabilization which will minimize the flow velocity and reduce the erosive force of the flowing water, and trap sediments which will partially fill the gully bed.
(c) Gully bank stabilization and watershed management.

To be eligible for the construction works, bidders must meet the following criteria:
(a) Possession of experience as a Prime Contractor for at least the last ten (10) years prior to the application submission deadline, and with work cited should be at least 70% complete.
(b) Minimum average annual turnover in construction works of at least
