The Government of Taraba State is desirous of constructing Wukari-Tsokundi Road Project in Wukari Local Government Area. This is part of the fulfillment of her commitment to ensuring good road network in the State so as to enhance economic activities and ameliorate the suffering of the communities as a result of the deplorable condition of this road.
SCOPE OF WORKS
The scope of works for the Construction of Wukari Tsokundi Road shall include but not restricted to the following:-
(i) Site clearance and earthworks
(ii) Road works including asphalt overlay
(iii) Culverts and drainages
(iv) Any other ancillary works related to the project as shall be directed.
INVITATION FOR BIDS
In view of the above, the Government of Taraba State hereby invites competent, reputable and experienced bidders to bid for the Construction of Wukari Tsokundi Road after payment of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N250,000.00) only for bidding documents to Ministry of Works and Transport, Barde Way, Jalingo and One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00)only non-refundable processing fee. Interested and reputable contractors with experience in road construction should submit their bids with the following information:-
(i) Certificate of incorporation of firm in Nigeria.
(ii) Company profile including key professional staff and their resume.
(iii) Current Tax clearance Certificate for the last 3 years.
(iv) Evidence of having successfully carried out road construction work in the past (3) years (including title of the projects, client etc.)
(v) Evidence of registration and payment of Pension and Social Security contribution.
(vi) Current audited account for the last 3 years.
(vii) Evidence of Registration with Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
(viii) Evidence of financial capacity/reference letter from a Reputable Bank.
(ix) Evidence of value added tax Registration and Remittance for the past Three (3) years.
(x) Evidence of valid registration with MOW&T as a contractor.

3.0 Pre-Qualification Requirements/Eligibility Criteria
Interested and competent Bidders with proven technical expertise to provide the services above are required to submit the following documents:
(i) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with the inclusion of Certificate of Incorporation and Memorandum and Articles of Association.
(ii) Current Company Tax Clearance Certificate corresponding with the company’s annual turnover for three years; 2013, 2014 & 2015, along with Tax Clearance Certificate for two Directors for same period.
(iii) Detailed company profile and organisational structure including names and telephone numbers of key personnel (Technical/Managerial). Profile must exhibit possession of experience as a Prime Contractor in at least two projects of a similar nature and complexity with verifiable letters of contract award and certificates of job completion within the last five years and value in each case
(iv) Evidence of financial capability (Reference letter from reputable bank).
(v) Copies of VAT Registration with TIN number and evidences of VAT remittances for the last three years.
(vi) Companies audited accounts for the last three years (2013, 2014 & 2015).
(vii) Sworn Affidavit confirming that all documents submitted are authentic.
(viii) All copies of all the documents provided shall be signed by the person duly authorised to sign on behalf of the bidder.
(ix) Any additional information that may enhance the pre-qualification of the company.

In compliance with the Cross River State Public Procurement Law No 1 of 2012, the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development hereby calls for Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable, competent and interested local or International firms with good track record, requisite experience and expertise in the development of Mineral Data Base.
2.0 SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The scope shall include:
(1) Identification of the Mineral Type.
(2) Location of the Mineral Type.
(3) The Quantity of the Bulk in Place, i.e. Reserve Estimation.
(4) The Quality of the Mineral Deposit.
(5) Preferred Mining Method.
3.0 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
(i) Evidence of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C) as applicable in Nigeria or any other Law as applicable to foreign investors.
(ii) Evidence of Professional qualification of key personnel to be deployed to render the service
(iii) Evidence of current practice license for professional personnel as applicable in Nigeria or applicable Law for foreign investors
(iv) Evidence of firm’s experiences on similar services executed in the past
(v) Registration with the Cross River State Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau in the relevant category, (Interested Foreign Firms are hereby advised to contact the Due Process Office, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria to formalize their registration processes before forwarding the EOI).
(vi) Evidence of financial capability/Bank support
(vii) Firm’s Audited Accounts for three (3) years (2013-2015)
(viii) Evidence of Tax Clearance/VAT Certificates for the past three (3) years (2013-2015)
(xi) Evidence of VAT Registration Certificate
(ix) Evidence of availability of basic mapping tools and equipments
(x) Any other information that may enhance the local or international firms’ responsiveness.
4.0 SUBMISSION OF EOI DOCUMENT:
Two (2) sets of “Expression of Interest” (EOI) documents in Hard and Soft (electronic) copies should be submitted in an envelope marked “Expression of Interest for the Engagement of Local or International Firm to Sponsor the Solid Mineral Mapping of Cross River State Under PPP, EOI No. 3, 2017″ and delivered either by hand or Courier Service to reach the address stated below not later than 12 noon on Friday, 17th February, 2017. Public opening of the EOI shall be conducted on Friday, 17th February, 2017, at 12 noon at the conference Room of the address stated below. Late submissions shall be rejected.
NOTE:
The Ministry of Solid Minerals Development reserves the right to verify all claims submitted in the EOI documents and it shall deal with only authorized Officers representing the local or international firms.
This is not an award of contract. Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be sent to only shortlisted local or international firms who are successful in the EOI.
The cost of preparing the EOI shall solely be the responsibility of the local or internal firms

The anticipated implementation period is one year, starting from the official start date of the contract.
The Government of Nigeria and the U.S. Agency for International Development encourages and welcome in this activity the participation, to the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women both as individuals and as members of contracting or sub-contracting firms. In this respect it is anticipated that the prime contractor will make every practicable use of such personnel and firms.
